Dallas International Girls Cup 2018 - Summer Updates

The 8th annual Dallas International Girls Cup which takes place March 28 – April 1, 2018 is already shaping up to be one of the tournament’s most competitive yet.

The tournament, hosted by the Dallas Texans, the #1 youth club in the US, has already reached almost 75% of the capacity with top ECNL and Development Academy teams including teams from California, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Nevada, Oklahoma, and of course Texas, will be participating.

The tournament will also feature top international teams including newcomers Nacka FC from Sweden. Their 2004 and 2005 girls teams play in the top division in Sweden, and recently won their age categories in the Gothia Cup 2017 (team was named Boo IS).

Returning to the tournament from England are pro-clubs from Preston North End, Millwall FC, and Blackburn Rovers. Other international teams accepted in the Dallas International Girls Cup include Roskilde Pigefodbold from Denmark, Olympia FC Warriors, Sydney Koalas and

Aus Schools from Australia, and AIK Stockholm from Sweden. International teams from Germany, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Canada, and Mexico expected to commit soon.

This year, the Dallas International Girls Cup is also committed to helping those affected by Hurricane Harvey. For every team from Houston that commits to the tournament, a portion of their team fee will be put into a Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund to help those recovering from the aftermath.
